Few years ago a friend of mine and I started building a website for a customer that wanted to sell Caterpillar Generic Parts online. But we discovered that unless you have an account with Caterpillar is almost impossible to obtain prices that are close to accurate to the market price. With this idea in mind, we desided to build a database that can be easily updated and that anybody can use, and that is how "Unofficial Caterpillar Database" came to be years later

First we built the database for SQL and use it in the website of our customer, then we realized that many Heavy Equipment whole salers and resalers could also benefit from our database. That is how we desided to sell the database on Ebay. Our business on Ebay have grown so big that now we are one of the major providers of Caterpillar Generic Parts database in the Market today.

Few months ago, a new member of the Caterpillar Unofficial Database Team came to join us and sujested that we should have a program that will allow the users to quote directly from their computers, he mentioned that many users out there did not have the experience, know how or time, to learn how to use MS Access. So few days later, our new idea was put in in the drawing table and the "Unofficial Caterpillar Database Quote Generator" was in production. Now it is available to you here
