Caspio Announces First Successful Customer Migration From Defunct Coghead
  2009-02-27
Company: Caspio (Company Info, More Press Releases )

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 27 -- Caspio, Inc. , provider of the leading do-it-yourself database platform for creating web applications, today announced its first customer migration from Coghead, a Hawaii-based agency that quickly deployed several web applications using Caspio Bridge within one week of Coghead's shutdown notice on February 18, 2009.

The agency, Quality Behavioral Outcomes, serves the state of Hawaii's Education and Health Departments with behavioral health assessments, training, and support. Todd Addleson, the agency's Director of Behavioral Services, was immediately tasked to migrate several mission-critical database applications out of Coghead. He quickly chose the Caspio Bridge platform-as-a-service because of its ease of use, longstanding reliability, security measures, and seamless website deployment.

Addleson's migration to Caspio was such a smooth process that he had all the applications up and running within a few days. Not only was it fast and easy, the agency will immediately benefit from significant cost savings with Caspio's unlimited user pricing.

"Caspio was the first provider to create a transition program for Coghead customers, and we're pleased to announce the first successful migration," Zamani added. "Our team is working with a number of Coghead customers and resellers to achieve a similar smooth transition."

Caspio's transition program was arranged within hours of Coghead's discontinuance announcement, and includes:

Two months free use of Caspio Bridge service
Free unlimited support
Expert consultation services
Free instructor-led training
Availability of custom application development

Caspio pioneered the platform-as-a-service space in 2000 to empower non-developers to create web forms and applications quickly and deploy them to any website, eliminating infrastructure investments and IT dependence. Today the company's Caspio Bridge platform powers over 150,000 web applications for Fortune-500 companies, government agencies, universities, small and medium sized businesses, and over 70% of the largest American newspaper websites.
