Empress Software and LynuxWorks™ announce immediate availability of Empress Embedded Database V8.62 for LynuxWorks' BlueCat® Embedded Linux® 5.0, the industry's first commercially available embedded Linux technology based on the open source Linux 2.6 kernel.
April 22, 2004 -- Empress Software and LynuxWorks™ announce immediate availability of Empress Embedded Database V8.62 for LynuxWorks' BlueCat® Embedded Linux® 5.0, the industry's first commercially available embedded Linux technology based on the open source Linux 2.6 kernel. Empress on BlueCat Linux is designed for high performance embedded systems applications requiring reliability, speed and scalability.
Empress Embedded Database on BlueCat Linux is a full-featured database management system. Its lightning fast, small footprint, maintenance-free database engine has API's for C, C++, SQL, ODBC and JDBC. From small devices to large-scale multi-CPU systems, development and deployment of embedded applications including network management, industrial control, military & defense is quick and easy with Empress Embedded Database on BlueCat Linux 5.0.
