Hollywood, CA August 23, 2004 -- Comedian AJ Jamal’s "Super-Spy" is a new action/comedy film spoofing James Bond. The film's cast includes LisaRaye ("The Players Club"), Garrett Morris ("Saturday Night Live"), Reynaldo Rey (BET's "Comic View"), "Tiny" Zeus Lister, Jr. ("Next Friday"), comedian Spencer, Karyn Kobayashi and Jimmy Logston as Jimmy Bond, the first black James Bond. A.J. Jamal stars in the film, having written and directed it. "Super-Spy" is already receiving critical acclaim by winning the Atlanta Independent Black Film Festival. The Los Angeles Times reviewed “'Super-Spy' packs the house and keeps them laughing with this week’s premiere at the Black Pan African Film Festival.” This success has been in the works a long time for Jamal.

Comedian/filmmaker/actor and entrepreneur A.J. Jamal is finally reaping the benefits of industry seeds long sowed in Hollywood. With the launch of his new company, Elephant Films & Music, Inc. (EFMI), Jamal's debut independent feature, the comedic spoof "Super-Spy", is gearing up to hit the road again! After an unprecedented ten-city promotional tour, "Super-Spy" will be a super event, boasting special celebrity appearances, comedy shows and after parties at each venue across the country. Jamal says "Our primary objective of the tour was to create an unconventional “urban pipeline” to promote and sell independent films.

The Tour is a marketing tool to develop consumer awareness for the DVD release August 24, 2004. With effective marketing Jamal feels confident that "Super-Spy" has a great chance to be a strong film on DVD. A sound track of the DVD will also be made available.
