The Baby Nanny™ version 1.0 was released today. This unique software, conceived by Kelowna mother Kim Westdal, is designed to enable parents to easily track and identify the behavior patterns of their children… from feeding to fussiness to sleeping. Westdal, the recent mother, conceived of The Baby Nanny™ software after the birth of her daughter. “I was looking for a way to track her feeding, sleeping, and diaper changing habits,” says Westdal. “I wanted to be able to identify her patterns, to make life easier for both of us. But there was nothing available.”

Not to be daunted, Westdal saw an opportunity to develop her own software to fill the niche. After contacting Winnipeg custom software development company Terracor, the project was quickly underway.

After nearly a year of development and testing, The Baby Nanny™ was released on September 16, 2005. Even before the software’s release, Westdal was receiving requests from expectant mothers and parents of newborns.

“ I knew there was a demand for product like this. I’m just really happy to be filling the niche. To be honest, I just developed The Baby Nanny™ to meet my own needs, but I’ll be delighted if other parents find it as useful as I do.”
