Vancouver, Canada--August 21, 2006--Password Protect Software announced the release of Password Protect USB, a software program for Windows XP, 98, 2000, NT, ME to protect an unlimited number of folders on internal, USB external and removable drives. The program allows to set a password on folders containing sensitive data. There is no need to move all files and folders to a special secure folder.

Password Protect USB provides high security. If the drive is lost or stolen, nobody can access information without the password. If Windows crashes or another problem occurs, the user can still unprotect folders and get information back.

Password Protect USB can protect/unprotect folders on any PC the drive is connected to. The user needs to install the program only on the external drive, not all computers.

Password Protect USB is very user-friendly. To protect/unprotect a folder, just right-click the folder in the right pane of Windows Explorer and enter the password.
