Convea Ltd, a central London-based supplier of enterprise business solutions, has answered the call of the open source community and launched an open challenge to SCO WebFace, making available Convea's revolutionary Web-based business application platform for free.

For a limited period Convea will provide free commercial licenses to all current or potential SCO WebFace customers who switch to use Convea. At a fraction of the cost (free under the GPL), Convea's software possesses all of the technological advantages of a Web-based system, while still maintaining a desktop application look and feel. Convea's rich client interface provides the missing component for mass market web service adoption and usage.
