Issaquah, WA September 9, 2004 -- In an agreement signifying a mutual vote of confidence, McObject, developer of the eXtremeDB in-memory embedded database, and Logic Technology BV, distributor of embedded development tools and embedded software, based in the Netherlands, have expanded Logic Technology’s role as a distributor of McObject’s technology, adding two large European markets to Logic Technology’s territory. The agreement gives Logic Technology exclusive rights to market and re-sell McObject’s software in the United Kingdom and in Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland). Logic Technology previously had exclusive McObject distribution only in the Benelux countries, which it retains.
For its part, Logic Technology is strengthening its commitment to McObject by increasing the personnel and other resources devoted to selling eXtremeDB and related products. Designating McObject as a top-level supplier, Logic Technology will assign a product manager to improve communication, build up expertise and create demand for McObject’s software.
In addition, Logic Technology engineers will receive regular training on eXtremeDB software, and will be expected to identify appropriate McObject partners in each territory and to establish and build these relationships.
"Logic Technology is pleased to expand its commitment to McObject, which has proven itself with an impressive, growing list of customers, and also with a flow of enhancements. McObject’s eXtremeDB High Availability fault tolerant data management solution shows particular promise in telecom equipment manufacturing, and the eXtremeWS tiny-footprint Web server offers a compelling tool for efficiently monitoring and controlling a wide range of embedded devices," Logic Technology’s managing director Leon Houwen said.
"This new distribution arrangement enhances both Logic Technology’s expertise on McObject products, and the distributor’s potential return on investing this expertise in new markets. By working more closely together, McObject and Logic technology will identify and address more customer data management challenges in the UK and Scandinavia, and thus gain market share," McObject Co-founder and CEO Steve Graves said.
