New Specifier's CD from Pressure Systems for environmental level and pressure measurement applications now available
May 26, 2004 -- Pressure Systems, Inc., manufacturer of precision level and pressure measurement instrumentation, now offers an updated specifiers’ CD that details the company’s lines of KPSI™ Level and Pressure Transducers and QuartzonixÔ Pressure Standards used for municipal and environmental monitoring applications. The new CD provides technical information, including datasheets, manuals, software, and application notes, for both product lines, used in various applications, including water level sensing, wave/tide gauging, and atmospheric pressure monitoring.
New to the CD is information on Pressure Systems’ KPSI Integrated Transducer Software (KITS). The new KITS is used to configure and operate smart KPSI transducers from a Windows-based host PC, on a configurable "site-specific" basis.
KITS users can select transducer options, such as units of measure (i.e., feet of water), required for the installation site and record data to the host PC for later retrieval.
This includes saving site networks as files, selecting a suitable site net file for use, and generating custom script programs for testing.
The CD details the comprehensive KPSI Level and Pressure Transducer product line, ideal for submersible level measurement applications requiring standard analog output (Series 300, 700, 750, 169/173, 116/126), ASIC-analog output (Series 770, 340), or digital output (Series 500, 510). The Series 27, 28, 30, 35, and 200 pressure transducers, which provide repeatable, precision measurements under the most hostile conditions, are also described on the new CD.
The specifier’s CD includes information on the Series 960 and 970 Quartzonix Pressure Standards, used for precision pressure measurement, as well as startup software allowing the intelligent Series 970 to communicate with a host computer. Also included is information on the Model 7885 Digital Pressure Module (DPM), a completely self-contained, high accuracy pressure transmitter suitable for meteorological and barometric measurements.
A comprehensive section on specifying information on the CD provides details on how to determine which reference pressure format to specify, considerations for level transducers and tank gauging, as well as a tutorial and a frequently asked questions (FAQs) section.
