April 28, 2006 - Afalina Co., Ltd. released version 2.4 of Add-in Express .NET, feature-rich visual tool for .NET developers to program COM add-ins, smart tags and RTD servers in Visual Studio .NET and Delphi for .NET.

Add-in Express .NET is completely based on the RAD paradigm which allows creating add-ins, smart tags and RTD servers without coding their GUI. Add-in Express implements everything required by the COM add-in, smart tag and Excel RTD server technologies, adds to IDE several wizards, installs technology-specific components, and organizes projects through the special RAD modules. All this makes COM add-in development much faster and easier.

With Add-in Express there is no need to develop different add-ins for different applications. Each add-in based on Add-in Express is shared, so applications can be added or removed from the supported application list at any time.

Add-in Express .NET completely supports all main applications from the Microsoft Office Family: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, MapPoint, Publisher, Access and FrontPage.

With Add-in Express .NET developers can:

- Create command bars and controls at design time.
- Handle all events of all MS Office applications.
- Intercept custom and built-in shortcuts and use them for custom controls, substitute built-in controls with new ones.
- Place custom controls and any built-in controls together on command bars, menus and context menus.
- Embed a code into event handlers of the built-in controls such as the Send button in Outlook, the Save menu item in Word, the Find command in Excel, and more.
