Princeton, NJ March 25, 2004 -- Parents can now employ a new tool to personally scan their child’s email before it is sent to them. kidZmail.com is a safe, parent controlled email that works with existing email software or via the kidZmail.com website. Parents can control and monitor the service easily, right from their own email accounts.

Inappropriate email is on the rise. According to a recent study, “… more than 80 percent of children surveyed who use email receive inappropriate email on a daily basis.” Spam can clutter inboxes and imposes uninvited, deceptive, and offensive messages.
Greg Harris, President and CEO of Internet Venture Group, LLC conceived kidZmail.com last year. "My child wanted email for her new laptop. I was horrified at the idea of letting her have her own email account. I have been developing web businesses for 6 years, and I know what will show up in her in-box.” says Harris. "Automatic filters cannot stop 100% of the improper emails, and if only one single pornographic message gets through, that is too much. Through the use of our technology, parents can control all messages that their child receives or sends. This service gives parents the peace of mind and confidence they need knowing that their child is not seeing material they should not be exposed to."

The service consists of parent controlled address book to designate all of the child’s email recipients, and what level of control the parent wants. If the sender/receiver is not in the address book, the message is sent to the parent for approval. The parent can approve the email by simply replying back to the system.

kidZmail.com also lets the child choose from over 60 fun email domains such as hockeykidz.com, rockerkid.org and aPrincess.com.

kidZmail.com offers a free trial of the email system. No payment information is required for the trial period. The service is priced at $7.99 per month for the entire family, or $69 for the year.
