Positive SMS is a free downloadable desktop tool to be used by individuals and businesses that wish to send SMS from their desktop to mobile phones. Network coverage is subject to the list provided on the site and testing. Users are required to register for a username and password prior to use of the application. 30 Free test messages are allocated to each user that signs up, credits to be bought when the limit reach 17. Unicode is supported (Arabic, Chinese, Greek etc. character set). The software includes a phone book and message history. Throughput is 3 messages per second. Delivery reports and advanced features such as time stamps are not available in the beta version.

Backed up by a web site where the same username and password could be used to log in. The web site version also accommodates bulk sms (sending to a list of numbers), WAP bookmarks, business cards, online phone book and message history and unicode sms for EU, Middle East and Asia.
