SqlAnswersMail supports PDF and HTML formats. When using PDF, you can configure a number of different properties such as page width, length, orientation, size to content, page header, page footer, etc. When using HTML, you can configure the exact presentation of your email using a CSS stylesheet.SqlAnswersMail provides all the robust features of xp_sendmail, such as sending attachments from sql queries, yet it doesn’t have any of the xp_sendmail disadvantages that come from its reliance on MAPI and Microsoft Outlook. Plus, it's very easy to migrate from xp_sendmail to SqlAnswersMail. A simple find/replace action is usually all you need to start using SqlAnswersMail in place of xp_sendmail. The software is based on SMTP and supports a redundant mail server configuration for increased reliability. You can configure SqlAnswersMail to use one mail server as a primary server and another mail server as a backup server. If the primary server isn’t available, SqlAnswersMail attempts to deliver mail to the backup server. SqlAnswersMail supports the generation of attachments directly from SQL statements. SqlAnswersMail also extends the functionality of xp_sendmail with support for PDF-based or HTML-based messages and attachments. SqlAnswersMail is completely safe for operations of your SQL Server. The solution consists of a stored procedure and a COM EXE that runs out-of-process and doesn’t interfere with the inner workings of the SQL Server.
