Stop phone calls you don't want to receive. Block Unavailable, No Number, Private, Out of Area and the new 555 Prefixes. You can even create a Blocked and allowed list in addition to the above. This answers your phone on the first ring and send them a data signal that can get you phone number removed from calling lists. If you have people bothering you , just enter their number into the blocked list. Want to really restrict access use the allowed list and only numbers in the list will be allow, ever other call will be blocked.
