TrustPort Internet Gateway can be mounted on dedicated Windows server or within current mail server depending on particular network topology. Separate parts of TrustPort Internet Gateway can be split between several servers. With complete antiviral and antispam check utilization TrustPort Internet Gateway achieves high-speed rate of message processing. Its performance can be customized and is fully adequate for big mail servers and ISP needs.

SMTP Antispam

A modern solution that reliably and uncompromisingly stops unsolicited e-mail messages directly on the level of Internet gateway. Fundamental elements of SMTP Antispam are the process and SMTP servers and several other modules. SMTP server
receives incoming message, compiles it and passes it to a process server. The process server parses e-mail to its basic parts and performs step-by-step anti-viral and anti-spam check. If message passes the defined criteria it is forwarded to original e-mail server and to the end user. If the message is detected as spam, it can be removed directly on the server level or it can be marked in the subject with the help of defined text and next it is filtered, according to mailing client’s rules, directly on the destination workstation level.

SMTP Antivirus

This is a component that an external antivirus scanner is able to detect and stop the harmful viruses in the electronic mails and attachments. Any external antivirus scanner can be used. Anti-viral protection is integrated into TrustPort Internet Gateway as independent module. Thanks to this module there can be used almost any of the command line antivirus scanners. TrustPort Internet Gateway is delivered with TrustPort Antivirus scanner by default. This antivirus program is optimised for use with TrustPort Internet Gateway. The e-mail attachments that are detected as viruses are placed into quarantine and
replaced by text file with the information about the infection.

HTTP Antivirus

A reliable solution that eliminates malware included in HTTP and FTP (over HTTP) web traffic so that it cannot enter company’s local network. It is based on antivirus proxy technology.

The solution does not only improve security, but it also improves employee productivity and saves network bandwidth.

Central management

Central management of TrustPort Internet Gateway is provided by web interface via HTTPS connection between web browser and central server. Apart from the component settings and quarantine management the administrator can see detailed summaries and statistics, including their graphic form.
