Serial Link allows programs to receive serial port input as keystrokes or DDE input without programming.
Serial input can be captured from bar code scanners, scales, controllers or other serial devices. Serial Link can convert serial input into keystrokes that can be fed directly into an application in the same manner that a 'wedge' converts serial scanner input to keystrokes. Serial Link can additionally record serial data to a text file or can transmit it to another application using DDE.
Serial Link also provides a test mode that simplifies debugging of communication problems. You may use the test mode to test your serial port setting by displaying the received data to the screen or you may simulate serial input in order to test you output settings.
